Besides the FIBA World Cup campaign, the NBA also has exciting news.

LeBron is Recruiting Other Stars for Team USA’s Olympic Redemption

LeBron James wishes to redeem Team USA by forming a “Redeem Team 2.0” after the team failed to medal in FIBA; they finished in 4th place after losing to Lithuania, Canada, and Germany.

In a report by The Athletic, LeBron James is trying to recruit other NBA superstars for Team USA. The report adds that LeBron is talking to Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry to join the Redeem Team.

If the USA team wins at the Olympics, it would be their 5th consecutive gold medal in basketball. But it also marks the first Olympic gold win for Stephen Curry.

Moreover, some sports news sites (such as Bleacher Report and FOX Sports) consider the 2024 Paris Olympics as LeBron James’ “last dance.”

Some other NBA stars that LeBron is reportedly recruiting are Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green, Jason Tatum, and Damian Lillard.

But Lillard may have other things going on with him.

Damian Lillard Only Wants to Report to a Portland or Miami Training Camp

According to The Athletic reporter Shams Charania, Damian Lillard only wishes to report to a Portland or Miami training camp. This means he’s either staying with his current team, the Portland Trail Blazers, or trading negotiations with the Miami Heat will occur soon.

A few months back, the NBA warned Damian Lillard and his agent about his statements expressing his eagerness to play for the Miami Heat – it seems that Lillard’s desire to play for the team hasn’t changed.

However, no trading negotiations have been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, women are also currently dominating the sport.

Jewell Loyd Breaks WNBA Scoring Record

Jewell Loyd recently set the WNBA single-season scoring record when she scored a 3-pointer (with 6:33 time left in the first quarter) against the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Seattle Storm guard snatched the record from Breanna Stewart, who had a 919 scoring record. Since the Storm vs. Sparks game, Jewell Loyd amassed 939 points for this 2023 WNBA season.

It may be the off-season for the NBA and WNBA, but fans can still play basketball games through their devices – even though some players are disappointed about NBA 2K24.

NBA 2K24 Gets Negative Reviews

NBA 2K24 is now one of the lowest-rated games on Steam, despite having the late Kobe Bryant on the game’s cover. In a Game Rant review, they speculated that the poor ratings are potentially due to the “microtransactions and a bad PC port,”

Game Rant added that the other issue could be because some game features are unavailable to PC users.

Nonetheless, many are excited to try NBA 2K24 as the game comes with a Kobe Bryant Edition and Black Mamba Edition – a tribute to one of the greatest basketball athletes.

Basketball has tons of exciting news, intriguing rumors, and upcoming events – FIBA champions, team Germany, is celebrating their recent victory, while NBA superstars like LeBron James are preparing the USA Team to redeem themselves in the upcoming Olympics.

More basketball happenings await – for now, we can only envision how the upcoming games turn out by playing NBA 2K24.
